My family and I are members of Crossroads Community church. My hobbies include anything outside, especially in and around water. It is such a blessing to be part of the Oaks family and I am so excited to be the K3 teacher again this year. Our classroom has a puppy dog theme, which includes our class pet Trooper, a stuffed puppy. We want to promote a playful and safe environment for the smallest of our Oaks children as we introduce them to the fundamentals of school. Our days are filled with fun activities, Christian based curriculum, and special area classes. “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.”

This is my third year teaching at the Oaks, and my second year teaching third grade. I graduated from Clemson University in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. I worked as a nanny for a year before being led to teach at OCS. I have lived with my wonderful family in Summerville all my life. Our class verse this year is Hebrews 10:24, "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds." I hope to inspire each of my students to live like Christ by being supportive and encouraging of each other. God directs us in scripture to love with our words and actions, especially among our fellow believers. I look forward to working with my students to create a close, loving community in our classroom this year. I am so blessed and thankful to be part of the staff at the OCS. God has led me to work with such kind people and amazing kiddos. I look forward to seeing His hand at work this school year.
This is my third year here at the Oaks and my first year as a fourth-grade teacher! I truly enjoy teaching children and helping them reach their dreams through education. My husband and I have one beautiful daughter, MacKenzie, who also attends the Oaks! We have a little dog at home named Daisy who is just like another member of our family. When I am not at school I enjoy reading, spending time with my family and going to the beach. Not only do I love working at the Oaks but I am so grateful and feel so blessed by all of the relationships I have with students, parents and colleagues as well! "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

I am a Summerville native. Inspired by local fabulous teachers, I joined the teaching community in 1990. After 14 years of public school education at Newington and Flowertown Elementary, I was led to pursue teaching in a Christian environment. I taught at Cathedral Academy for 11 years, before retiring in 2015. I enjoyed a two year respite, then felt God was leading me back to the classroom. I am so excited to begin my journey at The Oaks! My husband, Tom, and I have been married 27 years this month and he is an Engineer with Summerville Fire and Rescue. My daughter, Caroline, is a rising sophomore at Anderson University, where she is pursuing degrees in both history and English. She will be a third generation teacher in our family! I am a native Californian and have been in South Carolina for 6 years. My husband and I were moved here through his job. I have always loved working with students and have focused on working with Special needs students for over 10 years in San Diego. As the Oaks Librarian, I love helping students gain a love for reading. I especially enjoy showing them the adventures that await them in the printed page and their own imagination. I hope students see the library as their self directed place of learning. "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you." - Isaiah 26:3

My husband and I moved to Summerville 8 years ago from Georgia....GO DAWGS!!!! :) Since then, the Lord has blessed us with a beautiful son as well the opportunity to be a part of the Oaks going on 4 years now. Hello my name is Christina Davis. I am thrilled to be the music teacher here at the OAKS Christian School. I was raised in the mountain state of West Virginia. It was there that I found out how important music was to me. I was the 7 year old child who begged my mother for a piano. After 10 years of piano lessons and 5 years of college level training I became a music teacher.
Although I love to play, sing and write music it is a great joy for me to teach and inspire others in the world of music. For over 30 years I have been teaching piano, voice, and music classes. Since 2003 I have worked with choirs, small ensembles, and individuals in programs, as well as competitions. One of my most enjoyable ensembles played the English Hand bells. Even more important to my life’s story is the spiritual part. I accepted Jesus as my Savior when I was just 5 years old. As I participated in youth programs, learning Bible verses, learning how to spend personal time with God daily, and even being challenged to do gifts of service to others I was blessed to grow in my faith.
I consider every part of my life as a part of God’s plan for me.
